It's their National Day
Written today Thanks for the National Day had an early weekend last Thursday. Though the announcement came later last Wednesday night, i was anticpating it the whole week and made plans for the 2-days off. They made so much fuzz for this day, flags everywhere - in the cars, street posts and in establishments. They drive around the city and honk their cars. Oh well they have every right to do so... Earlier i watched the fireworks from the rooftop and it was quite a show. Yesterday, i baked all day for Christmas goodies as gifts to friends. It's my first time to make 6 recipes continuously - czechoslovakian cookies, carrot cake, lemon cake, 2 recipes of carrot cake cupcake and rocky road brownies. At night i attended the expat's party, which i almost cancelled if it had been a work day. Nice to see acquaintances again.
